Manifesto

Ray Brown Group in essence started back in 1999.  It’s been a process in the making, with over 25+ years of industry experience. Those industry sectors range from Government, technology, media, psychology (mental health), start-ups, creative design, housing, finance, health care, education, and retail. Here is a timeline of what happened to get us to this point in time.

  • 1999 – Started South Asian Life, the first national ethnic (South Asian) media company.
  • 2000 – Letter from Prime Minister Jean Chretien, on the inaugural release.
  • 2006 – Marketing Magazine article “Living The Life
  • 2008 – Marketing Magazine article “Raising The Brar
  • 2009 – CEMA Award: Best Editorial
  • 2012 – Launched Fashion Style Magazine online, which was rebranded to ViaFashion in 2020, which got over 5.5 million followers.
  • 2012 – South Asian Life, got rebranded to Asian Fashion, and grew to over 1.6 million followers.
  • 2013 – Launched The Woman Life, which gained over 1.3 million followers.
  • 2014 – All of Ray’s social media brands’ content was generating over 400 million views monthly.
  • 2014 – Took HDIMAX MEDIA public, here is the SEC filing report.
  • 2016 – Signed a deal with Apple and Spotify for Podcasting for 10 shows. The shows are focused on Relationship Advice, Consciousness, Spirituality, Mental Health, Parenting Advice, Sleep, and Dating Advice.
  • 2020 – During the Pandemic, Ray’s podcast shows gained on average 780k listeners monthly.
  • 2021 – Global Rethink project was launched, which focused on Social and Community Initiatives, such as Health Care, Housing, Education, and Farming.
  • 2022 – UBSBC was launched as a holding company for Global Rethink, UEFV, to raise awareness and capital to start planning and development of community initiatives.
  • 2023 – Sovrn Financial project was launched, which was meant to provide people with an alternative solution to diversify their capital wealth..
  • 2024 – SOVRN Investments is launching in April, focusing on social and community causes, creating a new stable commerce solution for local communities and industry sectors.
  • 2024 – February, Ray Brown Group (RBG) is launched to create a rebuilding purpose for companies and people, creating a refreshing haul of internal and external company culture.  Removing toxic mindsets that impact the purpose of a brand.

Ray Brown, was born Rajinder Brar and grew up in Abbotsford, BC.  He was known as Raj Brar, Raaj Brar in high school, and his media days.  He changed his public name to Ray Brown in 2015, when he started podcasting.

Ray is driven by the pursuit that we are more than our conditioning.  That we weren’t just born to exist, we were meant for more.  That energy within is unleashed through all of his work.  Ray strives to create a positive atmosphere all around him, and through his projects.  Ray is a father and cares about the present and future locally and globally.  Ray is building networks and relationships with people and businesses that have that same outlook and vested interests.
